We booked David for our end of November wedding, and we were very impressed with his work.

We had a meeting with David before the ceremony for him to learn what we liked, and it's clear he understood the assignment. Neither my wife nor I like being the centre of attention and, with the exception of the customary posed photos, we asked for candid photos of the day. David fully delivered this, and during the reception, we completely forgot he was there! The pictures were wonderful, and we received them only a few weeks after the ceremony, which was amazing.

We discovered David after a recommendation by another photographer who was unable to make the date of our wedding. This turned out to be a blessing, as after a Zoom call we found that he was an excellent choice. David managed to combine the rare qualities of being both unobtrusive and helpful at the same time. We wanted a more documentary style to our wedding with few staged images which David produced immaculately He then asked during a natural lull if he could take a couple of photos of us as a couple, something we wouldn’t have considered but which turned out to be an excellent idea as they proved to be a superb addition, tying together the record of our day. David is a wonderful photographer but significantly, he is also a very kind person which you cannot underestimate the importance of on what is a frantic day. He is very calm and patient. The photos are sensational - natural expressions picked up very well and he comes very reasonably priced in our view. He communicates very well which is not always the case with vendors and he provided us with 15 great preview photos in under 48 hours from the wedding with the remainder coming through a few short weeks later. When planning our wedding, my husband and I were the most concerned about booking a fabulous photographer as, after it's all over, these were going to be the lasting remnants of the day. We were therefore anxiously awaiting the photos from David through.
When they arrived, we were absolutely blown-away... the photos were stunning, expertly taken with every single one capturing a moment we will now never forget. The whole day has been captured, both the big moments and the small details, and it was every bit as beautiful as we remember.
David took the time before the big day to tour the venue with us which settled our nerves that we wouldn't have many places to shoot if the weather was poor. He picked out some great spots that we then got to use on the day.
David was a calming presence and worked well in the background with our videographer - in fact some of the photos were taken at time we didn't even realise David was present for! He was somehow there to capture anything important, and yet never in the way. He also managed to organise many group shots, including one with a rowdy crowd of 25!

Five stars isn't high enough. When we first saw David's photos we knew he was the perfect photographer for our day and we were not wrong. From the first time we spoke, to the moment he said goodbye at the end of our wedding day, he was everything we had hoped for. He understood our camera-shyness and made us feel comfortable, he was subtle and unobtrusive, and always had a knack for finding the perfect photo.

When we saw the Instagram previews a few days after our wedding, we were blown away - but then when he sent us the full album of his work from the day we were totally speechless. We couldn't recommend David highly enough! From day one he was a delight to work with - he even sent a little video introducing himself to us to tell us a little more about his work. He's professional and always quick to respond to emails, and incredibly diligent and detail orientated with planning. Personally we recommend the mini pre-wedding shoot that David offers - it made us feel much more relaxed on the day itself.

And most importantly... the photos! David's photos are gorgeous - looking back on them has brought real smiles to our faces - David really captured the day, and many happy moments within it. We have also had lots of our guests say the same thing - they were seriously impressed too!

Having "shopped" around for wedding photographers, I kept coming back to David's style - and the fact that he has so many 5 star Google reviews certainly gave some assurance as well!
We weren't disappointed - David was really accommodating with us - our initial wedding date was affected by the pandemic so everything was uncertain for quite a while, but David was willing to be flexible and was optimistic for us being able to get married soon! With not much notice, David worked around us, was diligent in ensuring we all knew what was happening on the day and ultimately put our needs above his.
On the day he was great, he genuinely became a part of the day and the photos that we got in the end are ones we'll cherish. Thanks David!

I cannot recommend Married to my Camera highly enough. The wedding took place very fast and under difficult personal circumstances, but David was absolutely amazing in getting everything sorted, as well as being accommodating and generous when discussing price (He even offered to donate part of his fee to a charity of our choice!)

Incredible communication came in the form of several calls and a video chat to confirm our preferences for the day. David was at the venue early and was so clear and efficient. Most importantly though, the photos are FANTASTIC. We got over 200 and love all of them.

I can’t recommend David enough - we had booked him for what was meant to be our ceremony in June - which was obviously a casualty to the COVID19 lockdown (!) - and so instead we decided to go ahead with a small registry office wedding with just our two sets of parents.

David’s style was exactly what we wanted, and the pictures were simply amazing - even though we had only 4 guests, the photos really captured the magic of the day - from small details like my bouquet and now-husbands bow tie, to fantastic pictures within the grounds of the registry office with our family, and some very ‘point-in-time’ memories of guests with face masks, and taking our vows with the perspex screen between us and the registrar! The pictures were beautiful, and we can’t wait for David to snap our ‘big day’ in March 2021!

All we wanted was photos that captured the spirit of our wedding day, and David absolutely did this. The pictures are natural, and capture real moments of exchange, laughter and conversation between people. Many of the pictures we don't even remember David being there, he was so discreet! As two extremely unphotogenic people, in the portraits David managed to make us look great - very much ourselves and the way we felt that day.

The whole process was made incredibly easy for us with David's excellent organisation and experience, and all the pictures were delivered very quickly within a couple of weeks. We also had a consultation at the venue, which was just what we needed to walk through the day and tell him what we wanted. And most importantly, our pictures arrived in less than 2 weeks - a lovely gift during our honeymoon.

We’ve just received our photos back after our wedding, and we’re blown away with the end result! We aren’t used to having our photos taken (and didn’t want to spend too long away from guests having ‘posed’ shots) and David was great at making us feel at ease; we’ve ended up with really beautiful shots of us looking relaxed and happy- so couldn’t have asked for more!

He achieves the perfect balance of being there to capture everything but not being in the way. A lot of our guests have commented on how discrete and un-intrusive he was during the day- and you can tell this from the pictures- people are genuinely having a good time, and not just posing for the camera.

We experienced David's work at a friends wedding; looking through the photos after the wedding we inquired who took them, as we were very impressed by the natural photos. It turns out he had actually photographed another friends wedding (who was also at the wedding) and he was there on their recommendation. Getting a recommendation from 2 sets of friends placed David very high on our list. David blended into the wedding very well and with silent camera work he is very well placed to take those natural shots which are so hard to capture. David also visited us at our house to show examples of previous weddings and visited the venue. It was truly a pleasure to deal with David and we could not be happier with the photos he captured, we will enjoy looking through them for years to come.

David is a fantastic wedding photographer. He was very easy to work with and very responsive whenever we had questions. Also, he made a real effort to understand our taste and style. On the day, he got the balance right of being available but without being intrusive. Most importantly we're delighted with the final pictures. Can't recommend him highly enough.

I don't normally write a review but I would love to share my experience with this excellent photographer.

I work as a wedding celebrant and have now had the pleasure of working with David many times. His photos always capture the unique essence of the day managing to do that most magic of things....capture moments you would never have seen if he hadn't managed to immortalise the moment. As a couple, this is invaluable as you will never be able to see all of your day, David does a magnificent job of doing this for you. Most importantly, on a day that is full from start to finish with all the people you can't wait to see, David manages to do all of this from a position of quiet, unassuming stealth, most of the time you won't even realise he is watching you through his lens, which means he captures the real moments, not the staged. I recommend David highly and am always delighted when I find out he will be with me on the day. His hands are safe hands indeed.

David took our wedding pictures over 10 years ago - I believe we may have been one of the first! We treasure the pictures and indeed our kids love them too.
We have been able to watch David in action and see his results at the weddings of family and friends since - the wonderful pictures speak for themselves so word spreads!
David's photography seems effortless and is inspired. We continue to be amazed by the way he captures such special moments while blending into the background. There is no shouting or rounding up of reluctant family, just all of your guests captured in relaxed, spontaneous happiness.

My husband and I were very unsure as to whether we should book a photographer for our wedding or not. Luckily we decided to book David from Married to My Camera, almost as a last minute whim but it was certainly the best decision we made. The photos are truly beautiful and certainly sum up the day as I remember it. Although my husband and I are both performers we are actually quite a shy couple and the thought of having someone take photos of us all day, was not an appealing one, however, David was not intrusive at all. Apart from the obvious family photos that were requested, we hardly knew he was there. After the ceremony David recommended we head up to an old chapel, near by. We had never been there before but we will certainly visit again. The photos David took, at this particular spot, were show stopping! I couldn't wait to show our family and friends, when we returned from our honeymoon and they were just as impressed. Thank you so much David, I couldn't recommend you more.

David was great and captured our wedding day exactly as we remembered it! I think the best compliment that we can pay him is to say that a number of the guests commented on how they hardly noticed him being there, and yet he still came up with a fantastic set of photos. Having been to a number of weddings where the photographer seemed to take over, we wanted the opposite and to have someone who blended into the background and captured the day as it happened. We are delighted that we chose him to be our photographer and would definitely recommend him to anyone else!.

David was excellent, from discussions prior to my wedding to the viewing after the wedding.
We didn't want formal photos or for guests to be hanging around whilst photos were being taken.
The photo booth went down a treat and they are some of my favourite photos.

David visited our wedding venue the week before to familiarise himself with the surroundings and get a few ideas for shots. The day itself went very smoothly with David capturing every special moment in a combination of formal and informal styles, very discreetly, exactly what we wanted. He surreptitiously captured many beautiful portraits of us and all our guests, funny moments and small details that show his devotion to his work and his creative eye. He silent-footedly, unobtrusively found his way into every part of our day to record it for us, at four different venues - both of us getting ready separately, our church and the reception venue.

Throughout the day I remember seeing David genuinely enjoying himself whilst capturing clear, gorgeous images of everyone else enjoying themselves. He even got behind us at various points in the reception to capture our view of what was happening. He took a great shot of our view of everyone jostling and snapping us gleefully while we cut our cake and took several of us doing the cutting too. How does he get everywhere at all times with such swan-like ease?!

My husband and I just can't recommend him highly enough!

David is a gifted photographer. His work conveys a deep understanding of the principles of documentary photography.

He is able to convey his photography skills through his wedding work with apparent ease. These aren't simply wedding snaps. Engaging compositions, timing, humorous observations and technical prowess are all there in his pictures.

There are so many so called 'photographers' shooting weddings who lack creativity and expertise - these individuals should check out David's work and start practising.

David avoids gimmick and has a knowledge and appreciation of art that enhances his work with subtle grace.

I've known David for a long time and said all along he'd be my choice for a wedding photographer.. Long before I was even getting married! David has a beautiful gift at catching that moment, that laugh, that look or even that great dance move! He's patient and subtle too (always a good thing at weddings) He understands perfectly how to capture the atmosphere of that special day. A real talent.
